Eight more bodies were found in western Nepal on Thursday, bringing the number of persons killed in a local violence to 30, local media group's website THT Online reported.

A team of policemen recovered eight more bodies on Thursday morning, said Bikash Shrestha, superintendent of police (SP) of the Armed Police Force base camp at Chandrauta of Kapilvastu. But none of the bodies have been identified so far.

Police had recovered seventeen bodies from different areas of the district on Wednesday and three bodies on Monday.

The violence erupted in Kapilvastu district, some 200 km west of Kathmandu, after the killing of Democratic Madhesi Mukti Morcha chairman Mohit Khan on Sunday. The agitated mob Sunday lynched an Armed Police Force constable Hassan Puri.

Local administration has lifted the curfew in the Kapilvastu municipality areas, which has been imposed since Sunday. The curfew in Krishnagar area has not been lifted yet.
