CNOOC Limited recently released its annual achievements for the 12 month-period ending December 31, 2007. Last year, the company's total revenue, net profit and net production all increased steadily. The company's total revenue reached RMB 90.72 billion. Its net profit hit a record high of RMB 31.26 billion, up 1.1 percent over the same period last year. The return on each share was RMB 0.72.
In 2007, the company's net oil and gas production exceeded expectations, increasing 2.6 percent over the same period last year; and achieved a total of 171 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), 149 million of which came from China's seas.
The company maintained a good environmental work record; and new measures were adopted. It is worth noting that in 2007, a wind power generator was officially established on Suizhong 36-1, making it the world's first partial wind-powered oilfield.
