The Eleventh Straits Textile and Clothing Fair 2008 Casual Wear Expo successfully concluded on April 21; and bore fruitful results. According to preliminary statistics, 6.07 billion yuan of intended investment was garnered during the four-day exhibition period - up 12 percent over the previous. Nine investment and cooperation projects were signed, with a total investment of 190 million US dollars. The four-day exhibition attracted 130,000 spectators. Among them, not including Straits businessmen, 15,000 professional businessmen came from the Chinese mainland and abroad.
The enterprises that participated in the exhibition actively opened up domestic and foreign markets. They achieved significant breakthroughs in the sectors of cross-strait cooperation, information exchange, investment, urban collaboration and export trade; made the most of the exhibition; and achieved win-win cross-strait same-business trade.
