The " Unitied effort in quake relief - 2008 China earthquake relief large-scale news photo exhibition" began its display on June 10 at the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution.

In the face of the most devastating and widely spread earthquake, and the most difficult earthquake relief since the founding of new China, people have united as one and surmounted difficulties to quickly join in earthquake relief. "The disaster is an order!" Journalists have risked their lives, overcome difficulties and dangers, and rushed to disaster areas immediately to report on the situation of the Wenchuan earthquake. The exhibition includes a panorama of earthquake relief scenes portraying themes of "caring," "disaster," "rescue," "assistance," and "restore;" as well as more than 200 photographs and charts.

The photos, taken of reporters from People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China National Radio, China Central Television (CCTV), China Radio International (CRI) and other media fighting in the forefront of relief, quietly recount the touching scenes of fearless reporters, devoted to their duty and reporting on their mission.

This photo exhibition is sponsored by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the State Council Information Office, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the General Administration of Press and Publications, the PLA General Political Department and the Xinhua News Agency, undertaken by the Xinhua News Agency, and co-sponsored by the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution.
