One month before the opening of the Olympic Games, one million "Olympic Education Program" tickets will be allocated for primary and secondary school students under the program, 14 percent of the total ticket pool.
The sale of Olympic tickets printed with "Olympic education programme ticket" will be targeted at primary and secondary school students under the Olympic Education Program. Tickets for Olympic preliminary competitions are priced at five yuan each; while tickets to the Olympic finals and semi-finals are priced at 10 yuan each.
According to the plan, 65 teachers and students from earthquake-hit areas in Sichuan Province have been invited to attend the Olympics as a part of the program.
