An event attracting investment to Tibet, for the first time since the March 14 riots in Lhasa, came to a close on August 31 in Lhasa. A total of 53 cooperative projects have been struck within the two-day event, with a total investment of 14.504 billion yuan.
Signing the project involves a wide field of industries, including agricultural products and by-product processing, mineral exploitation, tourism, Tibetan medicine, new energy development, folk handicrafts, and the circulation of commodities among others.
Not only had the total scale of investment exceeded 10 billion yuan for the first time this year, but there were also 45 large projects with an investment scale of more than 10 million yuan this year. Three of the projects had an investment scale of 1 billion yuan.
