CNC provided Olympic telecommunications guarantee and services for the Beijing Hotel - home to the International Olympic Committee - the Fencing Hall and the National Convention Center, Huiyuan International Apartments and other venues.

To meet demands from Olympic hotels, CNC upgraded their broadband services and replaced switching at some of the hotels.

It also outfitted seven Lenovo Internet lounges in Beijing, Hong Kong and Qingdao to offer broadband network services for all athletes, officials and the media.

During the Games, CNC offered secure services for the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Transport Management Bureau, Fire Bureau, National Security Bureau, the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee and the Beijing urban public management system.

The supply of coal, water, electricity and gas to Beijing was also guaranteed by its highly efficient and safe telecommunications.

Services for media

CNC also assisted CCTV and Beijing Television to cover the 26 events in the Good Luck Beijing games

To meet the needs of Olympic Broadcasting Co Ltd and other international media, CNC signed the rental agreements for transponders with Asia Satellite Telecommunications Co and the Asia-Pacific Satellite Industry Co Ltd.

It also signed image telecommunications service agreements with seven Beijing Olympic broadcasters and connected thousands of optical circuits, domestic and international digital routes, provided international submarine cables, dozens of satellite dishes, and supplied high-quality optical transmission for more than 120 broadcasters and more than 16,000 Chinese and foreign journalists.
