The list of "2008 World top 500 Chinese business" was announced at the opening ceremony of the Fourth World Eminence Chinesebusiness Congress on September 25.
The list includes "2008 World Top 500 Chinese Enterprises" and the "2008 World Top 500 Chinese Magnates." The fist ten places of the World Top 500 Chinese business Enterprises include the China Petrochemical Corporation, State Grid and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).
Li Ka-shing continues to hold the first place on the list of the Chinese business Magnates.
The list shows that businesses in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces have strong momentum of development. Compared with the previous year, the number of enterprises on the list from Jiangsu province increased from 41 in 2007 to 48, the number of enterprises on the list from Zhejiang province increased from 28 in 2007 to 35.
