HK chief Donald Tsang thanks departing officials

Hong Kong Special AdministrativeRegion (HKSAR) Chief Executive Donald Tsang personally thanked thesix departing principal officials, who will complete their servicefor the second-term HKSAR government on June 30.

In his valedictory letters to those six officials, Tsang hailedoutgoing colleagues for their "unyielding sense of responsibility and dedication."

Those principal officials include Chief Secretary for Administration Rafael Hui, Secretary for Home Affairs Dr. Patrick Ho, Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology Joseph Wong, Secretary for Economic Development and Labor Stephen Ip, Secretaryfor Education and Manpower Prof. Arthur Li, and Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works Dr. Sarah Liao.

"Their professionalism and passion to serve have helped Hong Kong overcome one challenge after another," Tsang said in his letters, adding "I am forever grateful for their meritorious service for the people of Hong Kong. I wish them all the best in their new endeavors, and look forward to seeing them contribute tothe community in other capacities."
