Roundup: New Chinese FM's successful first visit to Indonesia |

After meeting with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Jakarta Thursday, new Chinese foreign minister Yang Jiechi successfully ended his first official visit to Indonesia since he took the post, and fly back to China directly.
In Yang''s less than 18 hours stay in Indonesia, he had deep discussions and built up relations with Indonesian leaders, including President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Yang''s counterpart Hassan Wirayuda, Coordinating Minister for Political, Law and Security Affairs Widodo Adi Sutjipto, who is the principal on the Indonesian side for China-Indonesia vice-premier minister''s standard dialogue system. During these bilateral meetings, both sides expressed satisfaction with development of corporation in almost all the fields. In the meeting with Susilo, the president spoke highly of the development of Sino-Indonesian relationship, saying that leaders of both countries had regular meetings and shared identical views on concerned international issues.
Indonesia''s Vice President Jusuf Kalla just finished his third Chinese visit in June and reached some agreements on bilateral cooperation.
Susilo said Indonesia is expecting to strengthen strategic partnership relations with China in the fields of politics, foreign affairs, economy and trade, science and technology, energy, and culture.
