China on Tuesday said it is working closely with other parties to the six-party talks to strive for a meeting of heads of delegations in mid-July. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Qin Gang made the remarks in a regular press conference on Tuesday afternoon, saying China is closely coordinating with other parties on the time the talks can resume. But consensus has to be reached on a date, Qin said. Launched in 2003, the six party talks on nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula involve China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the United States, the Republic of Korea, Russia and Japan.
