Russia hopes the dialogue between finance ministers of Russia and China would promote the economic and trade relations between the two countries, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said in Moscow Wednesday.
A visit to Moscow by the Chinese finance minister and his successful talks with Russian colleagues "prove the dynamic development of Russian-Chinese relations," Fradkov said in his meeting with visiting Chinese Finance Minister Jin Renqing.
The finance ministers' dialogue was set up as early as Russian President Vladimir Putin visited China in March, 2006, Jin said. He is hopeful that the dialogue between the finance ministries of the two countries within the framework of Year of China in Russia would promote mutual understanding between Russia and China.
