The Fourth China Products Fair kicks off on Tuesday and runs through Friday at the Amman International Automotive Exhibition Center in Jordan.
Over 100 Chinese companies representing different sectors and specialization participate in the exhibition.
Building on successes achieved during the last three years, the fair will exhibit construction and building materials, electronics, industrial machinery, textile industries and fabrics, home and office furniture, trucks and trailers, printing and packing machines, medical equipment, gas adapters, diesel generators and foodstuffs.
At the Jordan-China investment forum, which was held alongside the fair, the CEO of Jordan Investment Board Maen Nsour briefed attendees on Jordan's investment climate and its preferential policies to encourage Chinese enterprises to make investment in Jordan.
Chinese commodities enriches the supply of local market and are welcomed by Jordanian people, he said, adding that the investment cooperation between the two countries also goes deeper.
In 2006, the trade volume between China and Jordan reached 1.3 billion U.S. dollars, and Chinese investment in Jordan amounts to 153 million dollars.
Chinese Economic and Commercial Counselor in Jordan Ma Jianchun said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Jordan in 1977, bilateral economic and trade cooperation has witnessed continuous development.
He also emphasized that although in recent years the bilateral economic and trade cooperation grow rapidly, the investment cooperation between Jordan and China should be further strengthened.
He suggested Jordanian entrepreneurs deepen their cooperation with Chinese counterparts to consider the possibility of setting up joint ventures in Jordan.
