Han Qide, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature,met here Monday with a delegation from the National Assembly of Hungary, led by Nemeth Zsolt, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Hungary's National Assembly.
Hailing the progress of China-Hungary ties in the past 58 years, Han said the two countries have strengthened political trust and beefed up cooperation in various fields.
He called on the two countries' parliaments to maintain contact and exchanges, and make joint efforts to promote further development of the relations between the two parliaments as well as the two countries.
The delegation is here at the invitation of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee. Besides the Chinese capital, the delegation will visit Shaanxi Province and Tibet Autonomous Region.
