Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Zheng Qingdian handed over 1.01 million taka (about 14,500 U.S. dollars) of flood donation from the staffs of the embassy here Wednesday to the Bangladeshi government.

He said his government will use the money in a proper way.

Zheng Qingdian said that Bangladesh is not only a neighboring country but also a friendly country of China.

Since the end of July, around 400 people have been killed by the flood and flood-affected people have reached more than 10 million.
