Pier Ferdinando Casini, president of the Council of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), will pay an official visit to China from August 26 to 30, sources with the Chinese parliament said on Thursday.
Casini will pay the visit at the invitation of Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislative body, according to the NPC's foreign affairs bureau.
