Gu Xiulian, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, met here Friday with a delegation of the Brotherhood and Unity in Politics from Surinam led by Alendi Caprio, Chairman of the party and Vice-Speaker of the Surinamese National Assembly.
The two sides highly appraised development of bilateral relations between two nations and parties. Gu also briefed the guests about the NPC system and Chinese social and economic development in recent years.
The delegation is here on a visit Sept. 3-10 as guest of the CPC.
