Luo Gan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China met here on Friday with Anton Ivanov, president of the Supreme Arbitration Court of Russia.
Luo said China and Russia are great nations of the world, and have maintained good-neighborly relations and sound cooperation in the economic, social and cultural fields.
Including China and Russia, all members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held the joint military drill in August and strengthened the security and anti-terrorism cooperation, said Luo.
He also hailed the judicial cooperation between China and Russia. He said, China and Russia have both hosted the meeting attended by the presidents of the supreme courts of the SCO member countries, and the two sides have signed a document on judicial assistance, laying a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation in the judicial field.
He voiced his belief that Ivanov's visit would push forward the exchange and cooperation between the two countries on commercial arbitration.
Ivanov hoped the judicial organs of Russia and China would promote exchanges and learn from each other to contribute to the development of Russia-China relations.
