Senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Wu Guanzheng met here Wednesday with a Rwandese Patriotic Front (RPF) delegation headed by its general secretary Francois Ngarambe.

Wu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, hailed the rapid growth of the bilateral relations in recent years, noting that China regards Rwanda as an important partner in Africa and will make joint efforts with the Rwandese side to boost bilateral relations.

Wu also highlighted that the relations between the CPC and RPF are a very important part of the national relations, vowing that the CPC would continue to make efforts to cement the exchanges and cooperation between the two parties.

Echoing Wu's views on the relations between the two nations as well as the two parties, Ngarambe said that the RPF values its ties with the CPC and appreciates China's policies towards Africa.

The further development of the bilateral relations serves the fundamental interests of the two peoples and Rwanda will make efforts to push forward the bilateral friendly exchanges and cooperation to a higher level, Ngarambe said.

He also said that the RPF will continue to adhere to the one-China policy.
