Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met visiting Chinese vice foreign minister Qiao Zonghuai in Belgrade on Friday and the two sides exchanged views on Kosovo and cooperation.

Both said they hoped to deepen ties and enhance cooperation between their countries.

Kostunica praised the traditional friendship between Serbia and China, and expressed admiration for China's achievement in economic development.

The Serbian government has attached great importance to developing friendly and cooperative relations with China, he said.

Kostunica said that Serbia will adhere to the one-China policy.

He said the sound political ties between their two countries would be the basis for further cooperation in the fields of economy, culture and education.

Qiao said China would be happy to work with Serbia on improving all-around cooperation between the two countries.
