Wang Huning, male, ethnic Han, native of Laizhou, Shandong Province, born in October 1955. Joined the CPC in April 1984 and began working in February 1977. Graduated from the Department of International Politics of Fudan University, majoring in international politics. With a postgraduate education. LLM, professor.

Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and director of Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee.

1972-1977 Student on a foreign language training program of the Cadre School of Shanghai Normal University

1977-1978 Cadre of Shanghai Municipal Publication Administration

1978-1981 Graduate student majoring in international politics at the Department of International Politics of Fudan University

1981-1989 Teacher, associate professor and professor at the Department of International Politics of Fudan University (1988-1989: visiting scholar at the University of Iowa and University of California, Berkeley)

1989-1994 Dean of the Department of International Politics of Fudan University 1994-1995 Dean of the Law School of Fudan University

1995-1998 Director of the politics division of Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee

1998-2002 Deputy director of Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee

2002-2007 Director of Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee

2007- Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and director of Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee.
