Sir Philip Craven, president of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), named the Hong Kong equestrian venue a "great choice" for next September's Para- Equestrian Events of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.

Sir Philip Craven, who is in Hong Kong on a short visit, made the remarks after touring the Sha Tin venue of Hong Kong Saturday.

He said the Sha Tin venue is a "great choice which seems to be logically laid-out", and "will make an excellent arena for paralympics."

The Para-equestrian Events of the Paralympics will be staged in Hong Kong from September 7 to 11, 2008. A total of 78 horses will join the Dressage-only event.
