Indian Defense Minister A. K. Antony Saturday denied reports that China had destroyed some unmanned Indian forward posts in border areas, the Press Trust of India reported.

"As far as Indian territories are concerned, nothing had happened," Antony was quoted as saying in Gangtok, India.

"We have a long border with China and disputes regarding most of them are settled. But it doesn't mean that there is no problem. There are differences in perception -- We have our own perception and they have their own (on boundary)," he said.

Antony said there have been reports of some "minor incidents" along the Indian-Chinese border which the government is trying to settle through negotiations via diplomatic channels.

"By and large, the border is peaceful," the minister added.
