Hong Kong Financial Secretary John Tsang has told Indian business people Hong Kong is a good platform for them to do business on the Mainland.

Speaking in Mumbai, he urged Indian entrepreneurs to take advantage of Hong Kong's position as both an international business center in Asia and China's global financial center.

Tsang said 10 years after reunification Hong Kong enjoys a much deeper relationship with the Mainland. The city is working to enhance its unrivalled status as China's global financial center by facilitating the flow of investment in and out of the Mainland.

Tsang said Hong Kong and India have built a strong friendship over many years, adding the 30,000-strong Indian community in Hong Kong has an important part to play in the city's future development.

He added the One Country, Two Systems formula for reunification with the Mainland is working well and Hong Kong people are running the city with a high degree of autonomy.
