Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding on Friday met with a delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC), according to reports from Kingston.

During the meeting, Golding, also president of the Jamaican Labour Party (JLP), gave thanks to the Chinese government for providing long-term aid to Jamaica, adding that his government will unswervingly adhere to the one-China policy.

Chen Fengxiang, deputy head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, heading the delegation, highly praised China-Jamaica relations, as well as relations between the CPC and the JLP, and gave a brief introduction to the national conditions of China.

The CPC delegation met with leaders of the Jamaican parliament on Thursday afternoon.

At the invitation of the JLP, the CPC delegation began its visit to Jamaica on Wednesday night.
