First-ever migrant worker elected Chinese national legislator |

A migrant worker in south China's Guangdong Province was elected on Monday as deputy to the country's top legislature, the National People's Congress.
Hu Xiaoyan was elected at the provincial people's congress Monday afternoon as the first migrant worker-turned national legislator. Her qualification still needs the assessment of the NPC.
