Four people were killed and eight injured after a bus overturned on an icy road in northwestern Gansu Province, local government authorities said on Tuesday.
The conditions of the injured were not immediately known.
The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. on Monday in Qingshui County, Tianshui City, when a bus with 28 people aboard slid off the road and overturned as it was trying to avoid an oncoming bus.
A team of traffic police, officials and medical workers rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
An investigation into the accident is under way.
