Liu Guijin, special representative of the Chinese government on the Darfur issue, arrived early Sunday for a visit to Sudan.

In a speech at the airport, Liu said during his visit, he would exchange views with Sudanese leaders and officials on an appropriate and permanent solution to the Darfur issue.

It is the fourth visit by Liu to Sudan since he was appointed to the current post last May.

Before arriving in Khartoum, he just concluded his visit to Britain.
