More than 70 foreign military attaches in China were briefed on Tuesday about the March 14 riot in Lhasa.
Wang Pijun, an official with the Information Office of China's State Council, presented to the military attaches from over 50 countries a large amount of facts to prove the riot was masterminded by the Dalai Lama and his backers.
Wang said the Dalai Lama was mighty free with his mouth, but never changed his core principle of "Tibet independence".
Sice Patrick, a military attache of France, said the briefing was very informative and would help people get to know the truth of the incident.
Another military attache, WCDR.R.N. Maboreke from Zimbabwe, said he got a better understanding of Tibet after the briefing, and he believed Tibet would have a better change if the central government's various measures were implemented.
Asked when Tibet would be fully open to the media, Wang said that some criminals were still on the run in Lhasa and some Tibetan-inhabited areas of Sichuan. So for the safety concern of journalists, the Information Office would organize officials from Tibetan-inhabited areas to meet domestic and foreign media in Beijing.
