Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met with his counterparts from Singapore and Indonesia on Saturday and thanked the care and relief support extended by their countries to quake zone in Sichuan Province.

During his meeting with Singapore Foreign Minister George Yeo Yong Boon, Yang expressed gratitude toward Singapore for its sending rescue personnel and relief materials to the quake zone in southwest China.

Yang said the Chinese government and people, with united strength, can win the battle against the strong earthquake.

Singaporean Foreign Minister expressed that his country was willing to offer more assistance in disaster relief.

Both sides spoke highly of the bilateral ties between China and Singapore, and exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.

Singaporean Foreign Minister hoped Beijing Olympics a success.

Yang also met with Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirayuda Saturday, and the two sides exchanged views on relations between China and Indonesia, vowing to promote cooperation in various fields through concerted efforts.

They also talked about Myanmar, reiterating to offer more help for cyclone-hit areas.
