The relief funds for quake-hit Sichuan province has been released to the public daily; and the use of disaster relief funds in the local government will be released step by step to the public, said Jiang Li, vice minister of China's Ministry of Public Affairs on May 20.

Jiang said that China has strict laws and regulations for disaster relief funds. China is a country where natural disasters take place frequently; and this makes it necessary to establish a sound management system for disaster relief funds. China's Ministry of Public Affairs and Ministry of Finance have enhanced efforts to propoerly administer disaster relief funds since the earthquake in Sichuan province took place.
