The death toll from China's major earthquake reached 69,195 as of 12 a.m. on July 3; and the number injured totaled 374,176. People reported missing were at 18,389 after the 8.0-magnitude quake jolted Sichuan Province and neighboring regions on May 12, according to the State Council Information Office.

The Ministry of Health reported that as of noon on Thursday, 96,388 injured people had been hospitalized and 86,606 have recovered and been discharged. There are still 7,138 people in hospitals. A total of 2,511,587 sick and wounded have been treated.
