Peter Hayes, President of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) praised China's wine at the Second Yantai International Wine Festival. International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge also had a taste of the Great Wall dry red wine on the Beijing Olympic Games welcome dinner.

Over the past four years, China's wine consumption has increased by 20 percent. China becomes the most attractive market in the world wine industry. By 2012, China is expected to exceed Romania and Russia to become the world's eighth-largest wine consumer, the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) estimated.
