Over 1 billion people can use Chinese Pinyin |

Since the establishment of the Chinese Phonetic Alphabet Scheme 50 years ago, more than 1 billion people in China can now use Chinese Pinyin, according to news from the current International Conference on Chinese Pinyin Education seminar.
According to relevant people from the Ministry of Education more than 1 billion people have learnt how to use the Chinese Pinyin due to education at school.
Chinese Pinyin has been applied in a wide range of fields such as illiteracy elimination among adults, serialization and search. In addition, it has become the foundation for minority groups in creating their own languages and it is the most popular Chinese input method for computers and mobile devices.
Chinese Pinyin is also very important in assisting the teaching of Chinese as a second language worldwide. It has become the international standard recognized by International Standard Organization (ISO) in creating a language based on Latin alphabet spelling for Chinese names and places.
