Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) has won the 2008 CAPA Award for Best Asia-Pacific Terminal.

During the past year, Terminal 3 of BCIA has been put into operation, making the airport the only one in Asia Pacific to have three terminals, three runways and two control towers in full operation.

With Terminal 3 and the third runway being put into service, BCIA's annual designed passenger capacity has increased to 82 million while the annual designed capacity for cargo has reached 2.2 million tons. During the Beijing Olympics, BCIA successfully provided support for large-scale, long-term and complicated air transportation with its high-quality resources and convenient service procedures, fulfilling its promise of safe, efficient, convenient and high-quality services.
