With the new generation of Honda Jazz compact cars made in China slowly driving on to the roll-on roll-off ship one after another on November 13, the Sino-Japanese joint venture Honda Motor (China) Investment Company has now exported a total of 100,000 cars to over 20 countries in Europe, allowing cars made in China to infiltrate the European market which has the strictest quality requirements, and has won a reputation for products made in China.

The Honda Motor (China) Investment Company is an automobile joint venture between the Honda Motor Company, the Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group and the Dongfeng Motor Corporation that specializes in the manufacturing of export products.

Since it started operation in April 2005, the export volume has been rising year by year. About 43,000 cars have been exported in 2007, generating export value of US $478 million. In the first half of this year, approximately 24,000 cars have been exported, accounting for approximately 18 percent of China's total export of passenger vehicles, with an export value of US $281 million, making up 29 percent of China's total export value of automobiles.
