According to reports, a type of mobile phone tailored for kids will be on sale in Hong Kong in December. The mobile phone has no keyboard, and children can only make and receive calls from the per-stored telephone numbers in the mobile phone's memory. This will help children avoid harassment from unnecessary calls or receiving unwanted information.
The customized mobile phone, which looks exactly like a toy, was developed by the toy retail chain, ItsImagical. It will formally go on sale in Hong Kong in December and is priced at HK $1,280.
The mobile phone is specially designed to satisfy the needs of children and their parents. Its built-in GPS will enable parents to know the location of their children at anytime. The phone has no keyboard, and includes restricted calls and message receiving functions, which are in place to ensure that children will not make or receive unnecessary calls or information.
