The "Global Kung Fu Network" opening ceremony, in conjunction with a press conference hosted in celebration of the publication of "Global Kung Fu" magazine, was held in the martial arts practice hall at Beijing Shaolin Martial Arts School on June 6. More than 300 public figures from the General Administration of Sport (former State Physical Culture and Sports Commission), the Chinese Wushu Association, the Chinese Wushu Research Institute and other circles of society participated in the event.

"Global Kung Fu Network" is an online presence created by the Global Kung Fu Network Technology Group in association with Chinese online yellow page service provider www.99114.com and experts and scholars from wushu circles at home and abroad. According to Fu Biao, CEO of Global Kung Fu Network Technology Group and President and Head Coach of Beijing Shaolin Martial Arts School, using modern means of communication, "Global Kung Fu Network" aims to introduce traditional Chinese culture, with Chinese kung fu as its major embodiment, to the world and promote China-foreign exchanges in wushu culture, pushing Chinese kung fu to draw experience from other fighting cultures around the world, and enriching the content of Chinese wushu culture.
