The disciplinary body of the Communist Party of China (CPC) closed its two-day second plenary session in Beijing Tuesday, pledging to step up its anti-corruption campaign.

President Hu Jintao, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, addressed the session presided by He Guoqiang, head of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).

Standing Committee members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao, Jia Qinglin, Li Changchun, Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang and Zhou Yongkang, were present at the session, which was attended by 125 CCDI members.
