The first session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will open on March 3, followed by the opening of the first session of 11th National People's Congress (NPC) on March 5 in Beijing. The Press Center, located in the Media Center (Yi 11, Fuxing Road, Beijing), was officially launched on the 26th. The Center's staff have started to arrange the reception of Chinese and foreign journalists.
In the Press Center, reporters can find service at the following reception areas: Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and foreign countries. This year, journalists can apply online directly through the Press Center's website, using an electronic application form. Press Center statistics show that there are more than 2,800 Chinese and foreign reporters registered to cover the two conferences. The closing date for press center interview applications is March 5.
