The fifth plenary meeting of the first session of the 11th National People’s Congress (NPC) to be held on March 15 will elect the chairman, vice-chairmen and secretary general as well as the members of the NPC Standing Committee; elect the president and vice-president of the People’s Republic of China (PRC); and elect the chairman of the Central Military Commission of the PRC, according to information learned from the fourth plenary meeting of the first session of the 11th NPC held on the afternoon of Tuesday, or March 11.
The sixth plenary meeting of the first session of the 11th NPC to be held on March 16 will decide on the premiership of the State Council, decide on the vice-chairmanship and membership pf the Central Military Commission of the RPC, elect the president of the Supreme People’s Court and procurator-general of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate.
The seventh plenary meeting of the first session of the 11th NPC to be held in March 17 will decide on the choice of vice-premiers, state councilors, ministers of various ministries, chairmen (or ministers) of various commissions, and the governor of the People’s Bank of China, the chief auditor and the secretary general.
The above-mentioned procedures are to be performed in accordance with the drat plan on election and appointment during the 11th NP’s first session.
