Overseas Chinese students in Japan, Singapore and Britain have condemned the recent rioting in Lhasa, capital of China's Tibet Autonomous Region, which has been instigated by the Dalai Lama clique.
Li Guangzhe, chief of the Chinese students' association in Japan, told Xinhua that the recent violence that rocked Tibet, and the Sichuan and Gansu provinces undermined social stability and inflicted great losses on the people.
Further, protests and attacks on Chinese diplomatic missions abroad by a handful of Tibetan separatists disrupted order and undermined the dignity of these institutions, Li said.
These events were premeditated and organized to sabotage the forthcoming Olympic Games in Beijing, he added.
Chen Xi, head of the Chinese students' group in Singapore, expressed their strong indignation at the rioting in Lhasa and attacks on Chinese diplomatic missions abroad.
"We are firmly opposed to rioting of this kind. I believe our country will properly deal with the Tibet issue," said Wang Tao, a Chinese student.
Ye Haitao, head of the association of Chinese students and scholars in Britain, said it is intolerable that a handful of Tibetan separatists engaged in violence under the cover of peaceful protest.
Ye criticized some Western media's biased coverage of the rioting in Lhasa and also voiced support for the measures taken by the Chinese government to restore order in Tibet.
