The chairman and vice chairpersons of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held a meeting here on Thursday, outlining this year's key tasks.

Six tasks were outlined, including more research projects, closer cooperation with non-Communist parties and people with no party affiliation, and the smooth running of important meetings and activities of the top advisory body.

The meeting was presided over by Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
