China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin Wednesday urged his colleagues to do a better research job and come out with more proposals that will help government policy-making.
Jia, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, made the remarks at a meeting of CPPCC special committees.
Jia said that the special committees must carefully choose their topic of research, going down into the grassroots in their investigation and come out with proposals that will contribute to China's sustainable development and the building of a harmonious society.
