A national reconstruction planning group for the Wenchuan earthquake, responsible for organizing reconstruction plans after the earthquake, has been established by the decision of the National Headquarters for Earthquake Disaster Mitigation.
The National Development and Reform Commission heads the group which is compromised of more than thirty members, including the People's Government of Sichuan Province, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, as well as departments in the State Council.
During the first plenary meeting of the group, held just recently, the members discussed reconstruction plans after the Wenchuan earthquake; and made clear as to the major tasks, responsible parties and requirements on progress for the plan to rebuild.
