Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Monday said the medical treatment and epidemic prevention tasks in the quake regions were still tough and no loose-up would be allowed.

Presiding over a quake relief meeting here, Wen urged to beef up the treatment of the quake injured to minimize fatality and disability.

He also urged local governments in the quake areas to resume as soon as possible the prevention and control of endemics and health supervision systems, strengthen epidemic surveillance and reporting, enhance the supervision of drinking water and food safety to prevent food poisoning.
