China's State Council appoints two senior officials

China's State Council, the country's Cabinet, appointed two senior officials on Wednesday.

Yang Huanning was appointed vice minister of the Ministry of Public Security, while Lei Jiafu was named deputy director of the Office of the State Council Three Gorges Project Construction Committee (Inspection Office of the State Council Three Gorges Project Construction Committee).

The Cabinet also ended Bai Jingfu's post as Ministry of Public Security vice minister and Wang Fuqing's position as deputy director of the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office.

Also ending was Li Jiange's post as deputy director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, Gao Jinbang's position as deputy director of the Office of the State Council Three Gorges Project Construction Committee (Inspection Office of the State Council Three Gorges Project Construction Committee) andZhao Guohua's job as chairman of the Board of Supervisors for Key Large-Sized State-Owned Enterprises.
