A senior Chinese official said here on Monday that officials with provincial discipline organizations should improve their working style and give people a kind and worthy image.
"Local discipline officials should focus on improving their working abilities and styles, striving for a kind image in the modern era," said He Guoqiang, secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC), during a visit to northeast China's Jilin Province that began on July 31.
He, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said discipline organizations at all levels should strengthen their work on micro-economic controls and strive for a rapid, sound development of the economy.
At the house of a Korean family, He asked about their living conditions and urged accompanying officials to deepen rural reforms. He called for much more advanced agricultural technology, as the province was striving to increase commercial rice output by5 billion kilograms.
He also visited assembly line workers at the Changchun-based FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. He expressed appreciation of the company's achievements in independent innovative technology and hoped it could make more famous home brands and promote the industrial revival of the northeast.
