China's top political advisor expressed the hope that people of various social circles in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) would make more contributions to HK's stability and prosperity and the country's development.
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, the country's top political advisory body, made the remarks when meeting with Tsang Hin-chi, a well-known Hong Kong businessman, here Friday.
Jia praised Tsang for his remarkable and outstanding efforts to support the country's space industry.
Tsang spent 100 million HK dollars (13.7 million U.S. dollars) to establish the Tsang Hin-chi Space Development Fund in 2004. Its goal was to attract more people to Chinese space programs.
Jia said the development of China's space program could not have happened without support given by Chinese from home and overseas, like Tsang.
Jia hoped that Tsang could unite more people in Hong Kong to make greater contributions to maintaining long-term stability and prosperity of Hong Kong and the revitalization of China.
