A senior Chinese official on Friday called for efforts to improve discipline inspection in county governments to support the anti-corruption drive.

He Guoqiang, secretary of the Communist Party of China's (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, told a national conference that more training should be offered to county-level discipline inspection staff.

Staff should spare no efforts to fight corruption and protect the people, said He, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau.

He also urged discipline inspection staff set strict requirements on their relatives to avoid illegal practices.
